So, I went back to my hotel, kicked off my shoes, walked around the room and wondered why my feet were wet. The front desk told me that there was a sign "in" the elevator explaining that the carpets had been cleaned. I didn't find the sign in the elevator but by the elevator on the 8th floor. After reading it I made sure to stop by the front desk and have my say. "
